POSITION
OVERVIEW
This
position works district-wide and supervises the circulation of library/IMS
materials for the district; directs and manages the information literacy
instruction program in accordance with the philosophy, mission, and goals of
Cochise College; supports academic research and reference for students,
faculty, staff, and the local community; takes part in the evaluation and
selection of materials and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
The
successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Library or
Information Science from an ALA accredited institution; supervisory experience
required; a minimum of two (2) years experience in an academic library with
emphasis on instruction and/or circulation; familiarity with Web 2.0 tools;
experience with a library automation system (preferably SIRSI); OR an
equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable
knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
