Hi everyone,

Even though I have not started my job at Virginia Tech yet, I'm going to recommend the library to everyone on the listserv. The group of librarians at VT are very upbeat, positive and supportive of new ideas and innovation. The Director for Research and Instructional Services, Lesley Moyo is especially positive and the librarians I met during my interview were highly complementary to her. They have just started a mentoring program, and just hired several new reference librarians, so you would have a cohort of new people to bond with.

Blacksburg is small but charming town, and there is shopping, movies, etc. in nearby Christiansburg.  If I can answer any questions for you about VT or Blacksburg, feel free to email me!
