Position Description
 
The University of Tennessee System is seeking a Communications Manager to provide leadership and creativity for the design, coordination and implementation of all electronic communications between the UT Alumni Association (UTAA) and its more than 300,000 alumni members.  The position is responsible for developing and updating the web page for the UTAA; implementing web analytic system and coordinating the tracing of web traffic to the UTAA site.  The Communications Manager will supervise the graphic designer for UTAA and assistant.  The person serving as Communications Manager also serves as the primary staff liaison between the UTAA and Harris Connect assuming responsibility for the online community and management of all email communications of programs and services to the broad alumni population.
 
Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree is required.  One to three years work experience in web design and web analytics, and experience in e-broadcasts is preferred.  A knowledge of current and emerging web standards, proficiency with web and graphic design software; problem-solving; ability to multi-task and attention to details are needed.
