Interactive/Web Developer & Project Coordinator VIC is a web technology agency that helps clients with all aspects of the Internet, including web-based applications, web page development and upkeep, web hosting with an in-house data center, interactive web marketing and e-commerce. We are looking for a self-motivated interactive/web developer & project coordinator who enjoys working in a small business environment while applying web technologies to client processes and managing the complete lifecycle of projects. General Description: The interactive/web developer & project coordinator aids the management of web development projects by assigning, supporting and then tracking projects while providing web development help as needed. He or she must have project management skills along with problem solving abilities and understand web sites and web-based applications from a technical and business point of view while having strong interpersonal communication skills. Duties will include: - Meetings with clients to analyze project requirements. - Manage the lifecycle of projects. - Frequent communication with clients to provide recommendations and project updates - Web development as needed - Gathering business requirements for developing web sites and web-based applications. - Write specifications and requirements - Provide reports and status updates to management - Help with the management online marketing campaigns and budgets and suggest enhancements Required skills include: - Strong interpersonal communication skills - Experience with web development and/or graphic design and understanding of interactive marketing Desired but not required skills include a combination of the following: - Languages: PHP, ASP, .NET - Databases: Microsoft SQL, MySQL - Web: HTML, DHTML, Javascript, Actionscript - Graphics: Flash, Photoshop - Systems: Windows and Linux based systems - One to two years of relevant experience This is a full time position with benefits in downtown Knoxville.
