Librarian
Mason Library at Keene State College
is seeking a Systems Librarian to
work with us in implementing pedagogically sound and emerging technologies to
enhance our active learning environment. This position has all
responsibilities associated with faculty rank and tenure. Under the
administrative review of the Director of the Library, this librarian has
responsibility for the maintenance of the library website and turnkey library
systems, evaluation and implementation of new technological services, serves as
liaison to vendors, and collaborates with campus and off campus constituencies.
All library faculty participate in reference service and weekend rotation, serve
as liaison to a number of disciplines, provide information literacy
instruction, and monitor collection development in those areas.
Qualifications
Required:
Desirable: Undergraduate degree
in a field supportive of library systems work. Familiarity with
telecommunications, local area networks, Unix/Linux, PC-based applications
software, Web formats, Innovative Interfaces library software, and MARC
formats. Demonstrated ability to work in a mixed hardware/software
environment. Additional advanced degree in subject area or Library Systems
educational experiences. Experience in teaching and/or library instruction.
Evidence of professional involvement. Academic library experience. Reading
knowledge of one or more foreign languages. This is a tenure track faculty position and will be
hired at the rank of Assistant Professor with a starting salary of $55,380.
