The Vanderbilt Library is seeking a business information services intern or librarian for summer 2008 in the Walker Management Library beginning no later than May 15. The position is defined as a 30 to 40 hour per week position with some early evening and weekend work required during June. The person selected will perform reference and consultation functions, in particular with the Owen Graduate School of Management's Accelerator program, an intense month long undergraduate business institute. In addition, work will include providing scheduled research consultations, assisting with research for the Business Information Service, and development of user guides. Required is a bachelor's degree and completion of substantial course work for a master's degree from an ALA accredited library science program or substantial business reference experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in an intense and demanding setting; a strong commitment to service are desired. Business reference experience is strongly preferred.
