The Arthur Lakes Library of the Colorado School of Mines invites  
applications for the faculty position of Collection Development  
Librarian. The Library supports the information and educational needs  
of CSM, primarily in science and engineering, and provides technical  
information to the regional community. The Library is staffed by 11  
faculty librarians and 11 paraprofessionals. More information on the

Located in Golden, Colorado at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains  
and just minutes away from downtown Denver, CSM is a public university  
with an enrollment of over 4,200 students in undergraduate and  
graduate degree programs in engineering, science and related  
disciplines.

Responsibilities:  The successful candidate will manage and perform  
all acquisitions functions, including fund allocation and vendor  
relations; manage electronic databases and journals; coordinate  
collection development with the other librarians including  
communication and liaison with academic programs, assessment,  
preservation and gifts. This position supervises two (2)  
paraprofessionals as well as student assistants. The position serves  
on committees for the Library, the university, and other  
organizations, and participates in professional contributions and  
special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:  Master?s degree in library science from an ALA  
accredited school (or equivalent); experience in acquisitions and  
collection development. Applicants should demonstrate good  
communication and teamwork skills, a public service orientation, and  
professional growth.

Compensation:  Minimum $40,000, negotiable commensurate with  
experience. CSM offers an attractive benefits package including fully
