Research Analyst:  BAE Systems is seeking a full time Research Librarian to work for one of our government clients. The Research Librarian duties include in depth research on both classified and unclassified projects. Using technology to present research results in user friendly formats. Additional tasks include ILL, cataloging, acquisitions, circulation, and assisting patrons. Other duties may include providing proactive support to clients through briefings and other marketing events, and representing the library on various agency committees.

 

Cataloger: BAE is seeking a cataloging professional to support a government library.  Candidate processes intelligence and open source products for storage and distribution; provides collection maintenance; populates the ILS database using modified MARC 21 and AARC2 standards; Supports Library of Congress map/chart archiving activity; implements declassification guidelines.  Position requires MLS or equivalent relevant experience; Requires experience with ILS systems; Must know and have used MARC21 and AACR2R standards; Knowledge of current practices, new technologies, and trends in bibliographic control are expected.

 

Map Researcher: BAE Systems is looking for a candidate to work as a Map Researcher that will serve as the main point of access in map library locations.  The candidate will work with government and commercial partners alike in the acquisition of maps.  Determine appropriate indexing and shelving methods in conjunction with map catalogers.  This position requires an understanding of GIS software and mapping programs.
