We currently have a 6 months contract opportunity for a Data Librarian/Content Manager with our direct Federal Client in Oak Ridge, TN. Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities: 

• Will work with FGDC-like or FGDC compliant metadata and load metadata records
• Will perform QA/QC to the input and archived metadata
• Perform as content manager for the Fluxnet site

 

Required:  

 

• MS in Information Science and 1 year experience, or
• BS in Ecology or related field with 3 years experience
• Demonstrated experience with environmental/ecological data  and information.

 

Job Requirements

• Content Management experience.
• Candidate should have experience and is comfortable working with environmental/ecological data and information.
• This person will work with FGDC-like (or almost FGDC compliant) metadata and will load metadata records to then perform QA/QC to the records.
• To load this data the person doing this job will have to run few command lines in Linux (nothing too technical, this is an Information Science position not a Computer Science position).
• Loaded metadata (archived) may need to be put through the QA/QC process.
