Library Trainer (Regional Network Position)

Consider a highly rewarding and exciting position serving your professional colleagues. Amigos seeks a Continuing Education Librarian (Trainer) with a combination of library, internet, and instructional skills. Penchant for variety, versatility, and technology preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist staff at Amigos member/customer libraries on a combination of services including reference (traditional and virtual), database and internet searching, electronic services, collection management, customer service, and technology. Design, develop, and conduct training courses and presentations (in-person and using distance learning technologies); provide consulting; write newsletter articles and provide member/customer support. Apply instructional design to courses for innovative online environments.

REQUIREMENTS: MLS from an ALA accredited library school & 3 years experience (virtual reference and instructional experience preferred); conversational proficiency in Spanish. Travel will fluctuate: 30% to 50%,

SALARY:

Minimum $47,000.
