The Utah State Library invites applicants to the position of:
 
DIGITAL SERVICES LIBRARIAN  (LIBRARIAN III)
 
Job characteristics:  Incumbents in this job are required to have:

* Masters degree in library  science from an ALA-accredited college or university;
* Three years professional experience in a library, archives, or business creating online information content, building digital collections, managing and designing websites;

* Experience implementing innovative Web 2.0 features. 
 
Should have:

* Experience cataloging digital resources with metadata;
* Experience with digital information standards and technologies including protocols for sharing metadata, digitization processes, government information taxonomies, classification schemes, reference models and digital asset repository systems;

* Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated proficiency with English composition, grammar, technical writing, and bibliographic citation;

* Strong organizational, project management, strategic analysis, problem resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills.

May supervise professional and non-professional staff.  Preference may be give for experience and/or a degree in information services or information management.

Location:  Utah State Library 1950 West 250 North Salt Lake City, Utah 84116

Salary Range:  Step 52 ($ 20.61) to Step 73 ($ 36.44)
