Then you need to apply for the position of Alaska State Archivist!
The State of Alaska is seeking to fill the position of Alaska State
Archivist, one of 50 colleagues in the United States. The State
Archivist serves as the official custodian of the Alaska's archival
resources and is responsible for the administration of Alaska State
Archives and Records Management Services in the Division of Libraries,
Archives and Museums in the Department of Education and Early
Development.  
 
Duties include: 
Promotion of the programs and education of the public regarding the
value of government archives and records by serving on government and
private committees, boards, and commissions and speaking to interested
groups. 
 
The State Archivist directly manages archival functions and services,
and supervises professional and technical staff working in the Alaska
State Archives.  
 The incumbent manages the Records Management Program portion of the
Archives and Records Management Services. 
 
Present challenges include: 
Publicizing the archives and records management program, development of
a state electronic records program, networking and coordinating
activities with other departments in state government.
