Also responsible for leading curriculum development for undergraduate major. Areas of teaching and research responsibility: Primary teaching interest in information and media literacy. Secondary expertise from among the areas of Instructional Theory, Instructional Design, Curriculum development, Digital Media Design and Interface Design is desirable. Qualifications: Requires an earned doctorate (or very near completion of dissertation) in library and information science or a closely related area. Demonstrated teaching and research abilities. Experience teaching undergraduates is desirable. University of Kentucky: Founded in 1865, the flagship university of the state opened its new library in spring 1998. This and the libraries' strong administrative relationship with computing and telecommunications services provide an unusually rich environment for teaching and research. The School is part of the College of Communications and Information Studies that includes the Department of Communication and the School of Journalism and Telecommunications.
