Assistant Professor/Technical Services Librarian -- Central Missouri
State University -- Missouri
Library: University of Central Missouri, Assistant
Professor/Technical Services Librarian, Warrensburg, Missouri.
Full-time, 12-month, tenure track faculty appointment. Responsibilities
include working with a team of professional and paraprofessional employees
in the Technical Services department. The individual selected will provide
services within an academic library's acquisitions, cataloging, serials,
processing and repair, de-selection, materials budget management and
database maintenance, electronic resources, and systems functions.
Develops and directs special projects, coaches eleven classified staff,
discerns and recommends new technologies appropriate for technical
services, and, depending upon specific skills and interest, assumes a
leadership role in one or more of the core activities. Provides evening
and week-end reference services in rotation and assumes bibliographic
liaison responsibility for at least one academic discipline on campus.
Participates in scholarship and service as a tenure track library faculty
member. This position provides an excellent opportunity for entry level
librarian or a librarian experienced in other areas of library services.
Reports to the Chair of Technical Services. Screening begins January 7,
