Position Title:  Director of Reference and Information Services

Position Description

Type of Position:  Full-time

Possible Desk Coverage:  Weekdays, weeknights, weekends

Salary:  $36,000—40,000, commensurate with experience

Benefits:  Health insurance, retirement plan with CERS, 401k also available with Kentucky deferred comp, vacation time, sick time

Job Duties:  Supervision of the reference department, scheduling ongoing computer classes for the public, recommending online subscription services, providing reader’s advisory services to the public, fiction collection development, schedule library tours with Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) students, work with KCTCS faculty in establishing reserve system, serve as the library’s contact for global/statewide reference consortium.

Qualifications/Experience:  MLS from an ALA-accredited school.  Prior library experience desirable, but not necessary.
