know someone who is?  The Gelman Library System of George Washington
University is seeking applications from and nominations for
experienced, innovative librarians for the senior-level administrative
position of

Associate University Librarian for Digital Initiatives & Technical
Services.

The person who fills this position will have the opportunity to lead a
dynamic, multi-faceted digital services program and take a lead role
in developing policies and implementing changes in digital planning
and services not just within the library system but in the Washington
Research Library Consortium (WRLC) and the University, and will assist
with the re-visioning project currently under way with our technical
services infrastructure.  This person will also work closely with the
AUL for Collections and Scholarly Communication to develop and lead a
new digital publishing initiative for the University.

This position reports to the University Librarian and works closely
with three other Associate University Librarians as part of the
administrative team that provides leadership for the library system.
