Placement will be made at the assistant professor level. Applicants must have excellent research and teaching abilities, and must demonstrate both a potential for productive scholarship and a record reflecting a strong commitment to teaching.The successful applicant will demonstrate research and teaching interests that augments or supports on one or more of the College's current research areas. Ability to teach online classes is desirable. Faculty members are expected to serve on University and College committees and teams, and to advise students. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.Demonstrated record or potential for achievement in academic research, teaching, and service.Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of assistant professor.The College of InformationFSU's College of Information is a leader in the education of digital-age information technology specialists and librarians and is widely recognized for its pioneering role in the areas of Web based education and undergraduate information technology education. Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist degrees are offered on and off campus. The Ph.D. is offered as an on-campus degree. Commitment to all degree programs is expected.
