Director of Merrill Library --  University of Maine at Machias -- Maine
 

Library Administration: The University of Maine at Machias invites
applications for the position of Director of Merrill Library. The director
leads and oversees all aspects of the 94,000-volume library, including
student and faculty services, collection development (including electronic
resources), and the advancement of information literacy. In creative
collaboration with faculty and staff, the director works to ensure the
library's central role in fulfilling UMM's mission.  This is a full-time
regular, fiscal year, professional position that includes a comprehensive
benefits package. Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree in
Library or Information Science and five years of professional library
experience, including at least three years at a collegiate library.

the University of Maine System, sits at the head of Machias Bay,
surrounded by tidal rivers, forests, lakes, fishing villages, and
blueberry barrens.  This unique coastal location, with its wealth of human

UMM students. The normal hiring salary range is $44,333 to $51,722,
depending on skills and experience (Job Family 12, Grade 5).  Review of
