You'll find a special subscription offer at http://chronicle.com/4free/?ej _________________________________________________________________ - The text of the job listing is below - Health Information Services Librarian -- Waynesburg University -- Pennsylvania Library: The Eberly Library of Waynesburg University seeks a Health Information Services Librarian to develop and deliver services and resources to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students and faculty in the health sciences field. The position reports to the director of Eberly Library and is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track appointment with academic rank. The Health Information Services Librarian supports the learning experience of students, faculty, and staff through the delivery of reference and instructional service relating to the health sciences. Duties of the position include: development and management of online and onshelf collections in the health sciences, instructional services for undergraduate and graduate health sciences faculty and students, management of document requests and delivery using Docline, Ariel, Odyssey, and OCLC resource sharing, development of online instruction modules. This position requires an undergraduate degree and a MLS or MIS from an institution with an ALA-accredited MLS or MIS program. Also required are excellent interpersonal communication skills; organizational skills; the ability to work creatively in a collaborative, collegial environment; strong commitment to user-focused services; familiarity with current health reference resources and instructional practices; and flexibility in handling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment that includes the main campus and the off-campus educational centers. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the health science field. Being conversant with emerging pedagogical issues related to the scholarship of teaching and engaged learning, familiarity with web page design and maintenance, and presentation software are also desirable.
