Business Reference Librarian --  Old Dominion University -- Virginia
 

Library: The Business Reference Librarian supplies important
informational, reference and research assistance to the university
community, especially in the business areas.  The position is essential
for providing instruction to on and off campus library users regarding
library resources, services, and collections.  Utilizing business resource
expertise, the librarian collaborates with colleagues and business faculty,
develops new print and electronic collections, programs, and products, and
integrates information resources into course instruction.  Serves as a
subject bibliographer and is involved with the Information Literacy
Instruction Team. Salary is mid- to upper-$40s, based on qualifications

demonstrated skills in instruction and development of effective teaching
materials; working knowledge of a wide variety of information technology
applications and proficiency in the use of general and business print and
electronic reference resources; organizational, communication, and
interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team
environment; analytical skills such as independent problem solving,
critical thinking, and time management ; demonstrated commitment to
excellent customer service  Preferred: Library reference experience;
public service experience; significant courses or work experience in a
