Faculty openings (all ranks)  at The University of Texas

The School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin is growing, and now invites
applications for four tenure-track faculty positions, anticipated to start in Fall 2008. Rank and salary
will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Senior candidates are
particularly encouraged to apply.

We seek candidates with excellent research and teaching abilities and a commitment to shaping the
future of the school and the discipline of information. We are interested in faculty who can enhance
our offerings in information organization and design, digital libraries and archives, and information
management and curation, but we welcome applications from any candidate whose work transcends
traditional divisions within the information field. Candidates must hold a doctorate degree, and be
able to articulate a research agenda that fits within the School’s focus and mission.

Applications accepted until positions are filled, but priority will be given to applications received by
November 1, 2007.  For further information, including a full description of the school, the faculty
openings, and application details, visit http://www.ischool.utexas.edu. The University of Texas at
Austin is an equal-opportunity employer.
