Reference and Instruction Librarian --  Quinebaug Valley Community College

Reference and Instruction Librarian (CCP18)

Quinebaug Valley Community College seeks an innovative, energetic,
student-oriented librarian to join a team-oriented, teaching library. 
This is a 12-month, permanent, full-time position.  
Responsibilities:  Performs a broad range of professional library
services, including information literacy instruction; reference services;
technical services; interlibrary loan; and collection development. 
Minimum Qualifications:  Master's degree in Library Science from an
American Library Association accredited institution.  A strong commitment
to public services and information literacy instruction.  One or more
years of related experience in an academic or public library.  Reference
and teaching experience.  Demonstrated ability to create web-related
resources.  Effective interpersonal, oral, written, and online
communication skills.  Experience leading or supervising others.  Ability
to work independently and as part of a team and work with a diverse
population of students, faculty, staff, and community members.  
                                                                          
                                                                           
                
Salary:  $2085.21 Biweekly
Anticipated Start Date:  Jan. 4, 2008
