Associate Head of Collection Management and Instruction Librarian for
Science and Engineering --  North Carolina State University Libraries --

Library: North Carolina State University Libraries. Associate Head of
Collection Management and Instruction Librarian for Science and
Engineering. The North Carolina State University Libraries, recognized as
the first recipient of the Association of College and Research Libraries'
Excellence in Academic Libraries Award, offers a working environment of
innovation, teamwork, and continuous interaction with students and faculty
to further the educational mission of NC State University.  The Libraries
invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Head of
Collection Management and Instruction Librarian for Science and Engineering
to provide instruction for the Engineering Entrepreneurs Program, and
through team-teaching and curriculum-integrated instruction, teaches
undergraduate and graduate students in engineering and science research
methods.  Manages the planning, policy development, budgeting, and
evaluation of library collections.  Required: ALA-accredited Master of
Library or Information Science or equivalent advanced degree.  Bachelor of
Science in Engineering or Computer Science.  Previous instruction
experience in related disciplines and evidence of effective collaboration
with other faculty.  Minimum of three years' collection management
experience in an academic research library, including managing collection
budgets and supervision of librarians and staff.  Knowledge of
applications of current and emerging technologies as they meet the needs
of library clients.  Deep understanding of scholarly communication and
issues of ownership and access. Other current openings at NCSU
