> international professional forums, and develops strong collaborative
> relationships at the university and with other academic and research

> The successful candidate will have:  a Master's Degree in Library
> Science from an ALA-accredited program or other appropriate advanced
> educational background;  a successful and extended record of
> leadership and administration in a research library setting;
> demonstrated knowledge
> of important trends in teaching and learning, research and scholarly
> communication, and the changing roles of libraries;  ability to manage
> in a complex environment with innovation and flexibility; 
> demonstrated understanding of technology developments and the
> opportunities provided
> for academic library collection and service programs; experience with
> fundraising and government/foundation grants;  a collaborative style,
> and a commitment to creativity, experimentation, and assessment.
