The California Digital Library (CDL) at the University of California
(UC) seeks an innovative, collaborative leader in the field of digital
preservation technology for a new position, the Manager of Digital
Preservation Technology. The Manager will be involved in strategic
planning, technical design, implementation, and operations needed to
meet the rapidly expanding demands of the UC community for persistent
digital asset management. The Digital Preservation Group at the CDL is a
dynamic group of information specialists and programmers that provide
cutting edge programs, services, and technologies to ensure long-term
access to the digital information that supports and results from
research, teaching, and learning at UC. The groups' work encompasses the
development of a Digital Preservation Repository, web archiving efforts,
preservation of large-scale digitization projects, and large-scale data
replication and transfer projects with other institutions.
