Assistant Director of Library and Media Services
Description: Northwestern Technical College is seeking
qualified applicants for the position of full-time
Assistant Director of Library and Media Services. The
Assistant Director manages technical and instructional
media services, oversees the maintenance of inventory,
processing of acquisitions, and cataloging of all
library resource materials. Responsible for the
interlibrary (ILL) system and may also provide
circulation, reference and research services,
including bibliographic instruction. The applicant
should have a schedule that would allow for night
duties as required.
Required: Master’s Degree in Library Science or
Information Science from an ALA accredited
institution. Experience with, but not limited to,
cataloging processes and tools; reference with use of
electronic databases and Internet research; teaching
library instruction; routine computer operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational
and analytical skills.
Preferred: Three years professional experience in an
academic library.
Starting Date: negotiable
