Public Services Librarian – Search 0708-0018

Ohio Wesleyan University, a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 is seeking applications for Public Services Librarian.  The university is a member of the Great Lakes Colleges Association (www.glca.org) and offers 40 majors, with approximately 1,850 students (representing 44 states and 45 countries) in 25 academic departments.  Located within the vibrant community of Delaware, Ohio, (boasting a population of 20,000 people), just 20 miles north of Columbus, the state capital, the campus offers many academic, cultural and recreational, athletic, cultural, and social events and facilities with the broader community.

Ohio Wesleyan University seeks a librarian to serve as library liaison to academic departments and programs as assigned (e.g., Education, English, and Theatre/Dance), teach information literacy skills, deliver collection development support, provide reference service (including nights and weekends), and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution, the ability to teach library instruction, provide collection development, answer reference questions using print and digital resources, and knowledge of emerging library technology. Applicants must be team oriented, innovative, energetic, customer service oriented and possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. 
 
Salary and position title are commensurate with education and experience, excellent fringe benefits package.
