Position reports to the Assistant Director for Technical Services and Collections, evaluates and develops the library's physical and virtual collections, supervises one staff person, and oversees the departmental liaison program. Establishes and maintains effective communication with academic departments and works closely with the faculty to provide information resources in all formats in support of the teaching and research at UMKC. Participates on Technical Services management team with Unit Heads to maintain high quality user-centered service. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to participate in planning for a new expansion of the library and integrated learning center. Professional development encouraged, required for promotion in ranked, non-tenure track position.
