Architecture Reference Librarian --  Clemson University -- South Carolina
 

Library: Architecture Reference Librarian, Clemson University
Libraries. Clemson University Libraries is seeking a creative, innovative,
and technologically savvy Architecture Reference Librarian to provide
reference services, Web development, and instruction. Additional
responsibilities include collection development. The position will be
located in the Gunnin Architecture Library and will report to the Branch
Head. Requirments: 1) ALA-accredited library degree (MLS) or
equivalent and educational background in art, architecture, or closely
related field; 2) Must have a strong public-service orientation; 3)
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills. Desired
Qualifications: 1) Work in an academic library or as an intern or in
another capacity; 2) Creative, innovative, and familiar with emerging
information resources and technologies; 3) Comfortable with Web design and
digital image technologies; 4) Ability to teach use of library resources;
5) Ability to thrive in a team setting, handle multiple responsibilities
in a dynamic environment, and operate effectively in a diverse academic
community; 6) Evidence of or potential for professional and/or
scholarly activity; 7) Evidence of ability to do self-directed work
without close supervision; 8) Knowledge of at least one western European
language; 9) Knowledge of modern information services practices and
collection development; 10) Knowledge of database design and familiarity
with programming languages; 11) Advanced degree in art, architecture, or a
