position
To begin in

Description of Job
Assist in providing services to international
scholars. Specifically:
·
Organize
and help conduct orientation programs
·
Advise
international scholars by e-mail (before/after arrival) and in person (after
arrival)
·
Research
community and university resources
·
Maintain
files of information materials for scholars; produce and update information
handouts
·
Coordinate
arrival information for new scholars, communicating with host departments,
scholars, CIE staff, and other UT Offices
·
Manage CIE
“
·
Maintain
e-mail list for international scholars
·
Coordinate
collection of, and analysis of, program evaluation
forms
·
Assist with
department website
·
Assist with
office clerical duties as needed
Requirements
·
Interest in
international education
·
Basic
knowledge of world affairs and geography
·
Familiarity
with
·
Good
communication skills, both written and oral
·
Ability to
relate to international scholar population
·
Good
organizational skills
·
Ability to
work independently with little supervision
·
Basic
computer skills, such as e-mail, word processing, database
management
Preferred
·
Experience
living in a second country
·
Proficiency
in a language other than English
·
Experience
with website management
·
Familiarity
with UT campus and
·
Available
to work at least two years
