Faculty Director of Reference and Instructional Services -- University of
Colorado at Boulder -- Colorado
Library: Faculty Director of Reference and Instructional Services. The
Faculty Director of Reference and Instructional Services is a tenure-stream
faculty position reporting to the Associate Director for Public Services of
the University Libraries. The Reference and Instructional Services
Department serves the university community by providing collections,
programs, and services that meet the information needs of the social
sciences and humanities as well as instructional programs in support of
the undergraduate core curriculum. Responsibilities include management
and supervision of departmental activities and personnel, leadership in
reference and instructional services, policy setting, and implementation
and management of an information commons (which may potentially involve
space and program reallocation). The position supervises a department
consisting of 9 FTE faculty, 4.5 FTE classified staff, and an assigned
student budget. Significant parts of the responsibilities of this
position are scholarly activity and creative work and service in keeping
with the tenure standards of the University of Colorado at Boulder. For a
