You'll find a special subscription offer at http://chronicle.com/4free/?ej _________________________________________________________________ - The text of the job listing is below - Reseach Informations/Librarian -- Indiana University School of Medicine -- Indiana Library: The Indiana University School of Medicine Library (IUSML) is seeking an innovative, energetic, and proactive Research Informationist/librarian for a tenure-track position to work closely with faculty and students in a highly interdisciplinary scientific research medical community, with an emphasis on serving a growing community of molecular biologists. Responsibilities include: Seeking opportunities for partnerships with assigned departments, including the development of digital content and services that incorporate new tools and techniques for information exchange, research, and learning; contributing to the development and promotion of online learning resources and tools; maintaining an understanding of, and participating in, relevant research and teaching programs within assigned departments; cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with faculty, graduate students, residents, and medical students; delivering knowledge management and course integrated instruction. The successful applicant must have: a Master's degree or higher from an accredited library or information science program; undergraduate or graduate science degree or significant coursework in the sciences; experience as an NLM fellow; a minimum two years' experience in an academic health sciences environment; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and library users in a research intensive environment; experience with or working knowledge of NCBI or NLM molecular biology resources; experience and/or training in teaching knowledge management and effective use of informational resources; discipline-specific experience in an academic or research library; experience in creating and designing Web pages. The salary minimums for an assistant librarian and an associate librarian are $40,000 and $47,787 respectively, and the salary and appointment levels will be based on qualifications.
