Technical Services Librarian --  Wake Forest University -- North Carolina
 


Technical Services Librarian

  
Law: Professional Center Library
Working collaboratively and independently to manage technical services
functions including receiving and processing of new materials for addition
to the collections and functions related to the growth, care and
maintenance of the library collections including, but not limited to,
materials processing, collection maintenance, de-selection and removal,
transfers of materials between collections, binding/preservation,
shelving and filing. Coordinates some functions with staff from other
departments. Serves as a resource person and trainer for Library staff.  
Education/Experience:  MLS, M.L.I.S or equivalent degree from an
ALA accredited school required, plus three to four years experience in
technical services or collection management in an academic law, research,
academic or other special library with increasingly responsible
professional experience in collection management. Significant experience
with integrated library system (Endeavor Voyager) highly desired;
supervisory experience, serials experience and acquisitions experience
strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience
may be accepted.
