Qualifications required: MLS or Doctoral degree in a related field; increasingly responsible leadership and management experience, including budgeting and personnel experience, in a college or university setting; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated understanding and vision to respond to emerging technologies and opportunities for a library in a research university; demonstrated ability to develop a strong collaborative working environment; ability to work effectively with a variety of on- and off- campus constituencies; and the ability to network effectively with professional colleagues and work in consortia. Preferred: MLS and second Master's or Doctoral degree; evidence of scholarly research and publications. The Dean reports directly to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
