Reference Librarian, Francis Harvey Green Library -- West Chester
University of Pennsylvania -- Pennsylvania
Temporary Humanities Reference Librarian: Join a vibrant campus
community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student
success. West Chester University of Pennsylvania's Francis Harvey Green
Library invites applications for a full-time temporary librarian for Fall
2007 and Spring 2008. Some evening and weekend hours required;
possibility of additional summer work. Duties include: responsibility
for introductory library instruction program; reference services; and
collection development in the humanities (English, art and philosophy).
Required qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS or its equivalent;
experience in providing library instruction or other applicable teaching
experience; demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications: Professional experience in an academic
library; background in the humanities (English, art and philosophy).
Starting rank and salary: Instructor level, no less than $40,599
depending upon
qualifications and experience. Standard faculty benefits package.
