Full-time, tenure track, available August 15, 2007. Continuous Recruitment: Review of applications will begin July 16, 2007, and will continue until the position is filled. Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Public Services Division Head, provides leadership and management of all functions of circulation, book stacks, course reserve operations, Business Humanities and Social Sciences current periodical stacks, Microform Reading Room, and Interlibrary Services/Document Delivery; coordinates building security and emergency preparedness and evacuation; plans, coordinates, develops, interprets, and implements system-wide policies and procedures pertaining to Access Services. Maintains current knowledge of copyright law as it applies to library resources. Participates as a member of the Library Departmental Council and the Public Services Division Department Heads Group. Access Services consists of 16.5 FTE and approximately 65 student assistants. Represents the Library in local, state, and national groups related to access services. Minimum qualifications: Librarian II: ALA accredited MLS or international equivalent. Librarian III: ALA accredited MLS or international equivalent with at least three years of experience in management of access services, and twenty-four post baccalaureate credits of academic study.
