Development Director
Bristol Public Library
The Bristol Public Library wishes to hire a full-time Development Director to be responsible for overall leadership and management of the Library's development efforts, including major donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; donor prospect identification; grant-writing; serving as the Library's liaison with the Friends of the Library; and assisting in the planning and implementation of such revenue-enhancing activities as a gift/coffee shop, meeting room bookings, etc.
The Development Director will be part of a marketing team that will include the Library Director and a Marketing Specialist.
The position requires a B.A. or B.S. degree, at least two years of relevant experience, outstanding writing and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
The current salary range is $27,000 - $37,000; starting salary is to some extent negotiable, depending upon experience. Benefits include retirement (VA Retirement System) and elective health insurance.
