Web Services/Reference Librarian. Duties: Entry level position. Develop and maintain the Library's web site including periodic assessment and usability testing to meet the changing needs of users and library; manage database interfaces including monitoring, communicating and implementing vendor changes; maintain a working knowledge of emerging technologies critical to the design and delivery of responsive library services to students; provide training on use of electronic resources to library faculty and staff; general reference desk duties; bibliographic instruction, collection development and liaison with selected academic departments; participation in library policy formulation; university and professional service; research and creative work. Required: ALA-accredited MLS; experience with Web design, Web authoring tools, and HTML; flexibility in adapting to change; ability to work independently; customer service orientation; initiative, creativity and excellent oral and written communication skills; and commitment to the librarianship, research, and service requirements of a tenure-track position. Desirable: Library experience; knowledge of CSS; reference, collection development and bibliographic instruction experience.
