Greetings!
Commencement season has arrived, and as we have done over the past few
semesters, we're asking you to send along any stories of graduates who have
overcome distinctive obstacles or left indelible marks on UT during their time
here. The media is often quite responsive to these stories, which allow us to
add other facets to their coverage of the event. Please pass story ideas
along with any relevant contact information, and we will keep you posted on any
progress.
Also, the close of the academic year brings the announcement of awards
from professional organizations. Each year, UT is fortunate to have a number of
its faculty win "lifetime achievement"-type awards that honor their
work and service over the course of their career. In order to recognize faculty
who win these prestigious, lifetime awards, we're planning a special Web
feature to draw attention to these honors. If you have any faculty members in
your area who have won a lifetime or career-based award, please pass along that
information, and we'll add it to the feature, so that all of our faculty who
are so honored can be recognized.

our Office of Media Relations for any interested applicants – the job

INFORMATION SPECIALIST I-Media
Relations- Pay Grade 39, $27,435-$37,689, Bachelor's degree in communications,
marketing or public relations required. Three to five years of professional
experience in a communications field also required. Experience handling the
media and placing stories in national, regional and local media. Proven
knowledge of issue management desired. Apply with cover letter, resume and
