Position Title:  Library Web Portal & Systems Manager

Description:  PTFS, a Maryland-based company providing digital archiving and library solutions, as well as professional services including digitization, library staffing, and integration services, has an immediate opening for a Library Web Portal & Systems Manager.  The Library Web Portal & Systems Manager will help create a truly virtual library, including supporting the library ILS (Horizon) and designing web pages and defining content.  Tasks include developing ways to incorporate digital images of books and make them available.

Requirements:  An academic degree and/or at least three years professional experience with electronic systems and their application in an information management/delivery environment.   Demonstrated experience designing web pages and Web Portal solutions.  An ability to cooperate with staff to define web page content and develop and modify pages. Experience with and working knowledge of electronic publications and major commercial and other data and information bases and their library applications.  Excellent communication skills.  Desired Experience:  Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited institution.  Experience in the management, operation, design and/or modification of automated library systems preferred.  Experience with Horizon ILS a plus but training in this application will be provided if required.
