Requirements: Masters of Library and Information Science from ALA accredited institution by date of employment. Demonstrated pro-active initiative. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team. Familiarity with ILL and/or Document Delivery operations. Familiarity with bibliographic databases and online resources used by academic libraries. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Description: Participates in provision of borrowing, lending, and document delivery services of the University of Mississippi Libraries using the ILLiad ILL management system. Assists the department in improving the technical infrastructure and overall operations for provision of ILL and Document Delivery services. Coordinates with other library departments and committees on issues related to ILL. Provides user instruction. Will develop supervisory/management skills and the ability to direct an ILL/Document Delivery service. Will participate in the Libraries' management team. May work a couple of hours per week at a general reference desk. Training will be provided in all aspects of the job as needed, with the goal of increasing managerial responsibilities to take over leadership of the department. Employment Conditions: This is a full-time, 12 month, tenure-track faculty. Annual salary $38,000 minimum.
