Salary Range: $4,129-$8,451/mo, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience (Anticipated hiring range: $4,129-$5,900)

The Kennedy Library is in the forefront of supporting Cal Poly's unique educational mission by collecting and preserving traditional and digital collections, fostering active learning environments in the library as well as anywhere/anytime online access, and supporting the University's scholarly publishing efforts. To facilitate this process, the Library assigns subject specialist College Librarians to work proactively in each of Cal Poly's colleges, and uses its technical specialists to develop and support a wide range of academic technology. The Library also contains archival collections on California architects and architecture, local and regional history, and fine printing and graphic arts.

Reporting directly to the Director of Library Information Technology (LIT), the Web Applications Programmer develops Web applications and integrates Web 2.0 services to ensure the seamless delivery of online library resources and is primarily responsible for the development of applications, Web services, database backend, and integrated software solutions. This position also sets programming objectives and standards, workflow; determines overall technical system requirements; and ensures the successful completion of projects on-time and within budget.
