Assistant Librarian for Cataloging/Technical Services --  Dalton State
College -- Georgia
 

Master's degree from ALA accredited institution or Georgia BOR approved
MLS degree required.  Requirements include experience in academic library
settings with similar responsibilities.  Demonstrated interest, skill, and
current experience using online cataloging systems, such as Endeavor and
OCLC.  High public services commitment and a willingness to be flexible
with scheduling and other duties.  Duties will include cataloging,
authority control, maintaining statistics and spreadsheets, and
acquisitions.  Provide reference services in the Learning Commons and
library instruction to DSC students.  Participation in library and college
planning as well as involvement in professional development activities is
expected.  Dalton State College is an institution of the University System
of Georgia and is an active participant in GALILEO, the state's consortia
for support of libraries.  This position is available July 1, 2007.
