Information Services Librarian -- University of Florida -- Florida
Library: Information Services Librarian. UF Borland
Library-Jacksonville seeks enthusiastic, service-oriented Information
Services Librarian. Provides reference and information services, staffing
information desk up to 20 hours/week and performs mediated search
services for the Jacksonville campus of the UF HSC, Shands Jacksonville
Medical Center, NE Fla AHEC and the local health sciences library
consortium. Coordinates user education services, participates in
development and organization of Library's collection, maintains current
knowledge of the Library Management system and provides
training/support for paraprofessional library staff. Required:
Master's degree in library science from ALA accredited school. Excellent
written, oral, and presentation skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills;
ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all
levels of faculty, students, hospital personnel, consortia members,
library patrons, and coworkers; Strong service orientation; attitude of
team work and cooperation. Excellent organizational skills and ability to
manage multiple priorities; Flexibility and the ability to thrive in
changing environment. Must be able to travel to Gainesville. Desired:
Experience in providing reference services, user education and database
searching, preferably in health sciences library setting. Experience with
relevant information technologies. Member or provisional member of MLA
AHIP. Salary: Minimum $40,000. Please see
