Responsibilities include managing the information literacy program of Hege Library, taking leadership role in working with faculty in the development of curriculum for information literacy, providing programming for faculty development and classroom instruction for students, helping develop online instructional materials in research and use of library resources, and backup support for reference services. Professional development expected along with college governance and community service responsibilities. Masters in Library Science with a minimum one year reference/library instruction experience in an academic library required. Guilford is a selective coeducational liberal arts college founded in 1837 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) with about 1350 traditional and Early College students and about 1300 students enrolled in Continuing Education.
