About the position-
 

 The Digital Services Librarian will:
 

Coordinate a broad range of digital activities and projects that blend
traditional library activities with digital initiatives.  Provide
leadership in developing digital library projects and work with college
departments, administration, faculty, and staff to develop, and maintain unique
digital collections relevant to the college. Assist in writing grant
applications to fund digital projects. Function as the library authority for
digital library issues and technologies, and coordinate with the appropriate
library teams during digital project implementation.   Participate as
part of faculty librarian team with reference instruction and/or collection

With more than 34,000
students enrolled in credit and continuing education classes each semester,
 Johnson
 County Community College 
is the state's third largest institution of higher education and the largest of
its 19 community colleges. The campus, centrally located in the county on 234
acres, opened in 1972. Over the years, JCCC has continued to expand its student
enrollment, instructional program, faculty and staff, and physical facilities
to meet the needs of the community. Today, more than 18,000 credit students and
about 15,000 continuing education students enroll at JCCC each semester.
Full-time faculty and staff number approximately 875, with another 1,800 people
working part time. A full range of undergraduate credit courses is available,
forming the first two years of most college curricula. In addition, more than
50 one- and two-year career and certificate programs are offered to prepare
