Barrington Middle School, Station Campus, has a full time, library media
specialist position available for the 2007/2008 school year. Barrington is
located 35 miles northwest of Chicago. The district has an enrollment of
9,200 students, served by an early childhood center, Eight (8) elementary
schools, two (2) middle schools, and one (1) high school.
The ideal candidate must be committed to collaborate with staff and students
to create a 21st century environment that successfully provides access to
information and ideas that support the curriculum. This candidate must
possess sophisticated skills in research, information, and technology.
Qualifications:
Standard Illinois teaching certificate plus a masters degree or equivalent
from a program that combines academic and professional preparation in
library and information science, education, management, media,
communications theory, and technology.
