Business and Economics Librarian, University Libraries --  Carnegie Mellon
University -- Pennsylvania
 

Library: Carnegie Mellon University Libraries seek an energetic and
innovative Business and Economics Librarian. The business and economics
Librarian serves as a liaison to the Tepper School of Business, one of the
most highly ranked U.S. business schools. The librarian is responsible for
the development and management of the business and economics print and
electronic collections, and provides reference and specialized
consultations and instructional services, and general reference services
for social sciences, humanities and business at the Hunt Library including
evenings and weekends. Required qualifications include ALA-accredited MLS
or ALA-recognized international equivalent; experience in providing
business reference and instructional services in a library setting;
demonstrated knowledge in using electronic and print resources in business
and economics; ability to work with faculty and students in a culturally
diverse environment; excellent written, oral and  interpersonal
communications skills; and potential to meet the University's requirements
for promotion and continuing appointment

Desirable qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in business or
economics, and business or economics reference experience in an academic
library setting. This position is part of the Librarian/Archivist
track of the university faculty. Continuing appointment or promotion is
dependent on job performance and professional activity (research,
scholarly activity or service). Initial appointment will be commensurate
with the candidate's experience and professional achievement. Salary
negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Comprehensive
