Reporting to the Head of Information Literacy, the successful candidate will teach the required, full-semester freshman information literacy course, LALT: 101; serve on the reference desk, some weekend and evening hours are required; assist with assessment and evaluation for the instruction program and have some responsibilities for staff training.Position requirements includes an ALA accredited MLS, excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, experience in teaching or with giving presentations, and demonstrated experience delivering high quality reference services. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently is also necessary.Experience in a multicultural environment, experience with course management and related software, a second Masters' degree, Arabic proficiency or other languages desirable but not mandatory. Position # LLT-2.Founded in 1919, AUC's campus is currently located in Cairo, Egypt, but will be moving to a new, state- of-the-art campus in New Cairo beginning Fall Semester 2008.
