Director, Melick Library --  Eureka College -- Illinois
 

Library: Director, Melick Library. Eureka College is looking for a
Director for its Melick Library who can provide leadership and direction
for the small private college library of the 21st Century. The Melick
Library Director has administrative and programmatic responsibility for
all library operations including budgets, personnel, technology, and
facilities. The Director will serve as a representative to cooperative
consortia and state systems as well promoting the library to College
faculty, students, and the Eureka Community. The College: Eureka is a
small residential liberal arts college located equidistant between the
cities of Peoria and Bloomington/Normal. Eureka currently has almost
600 students enrolled in 30 degree programs and has over 5,000 living
alumni. The College is currently rated No. 1 in the Midwest on the US News
"Great Schools, Great Prices" best value list and is cited as one
of fifty national "All-American Colleges" by the Intercollegiate
Studies Institute. Position Requirements: Successful candidates should
possess, at minimum, an MLS degree from an ALA accredited institution with
five years' experience of leadership responsibility in an academic
library. Good candidates will have strong organizational and analytical
skills as well as excellent communication skills. A clear vision of the
role of the academic library with experience in writing and administering
